Thanks so much for the IBM Kidsmart Early learning program.As teacher it is a big help for me in teaching.Because there are so many ideas and strategies can get in the lessons found in kidsmart computer lesson.For the pupils they were so very excited if we have schedule in this lessons.They always want to stay in the computer room.They will always discuss the topic they learned with their classmates inside the classroom.Even they were not in the Kidsmart Computer lesson.
Before, we have our classroom discussion with the different subject areas by questioning
and answering insidwe the classroom.Using chalkboard and chalk,pencil and paper,books and other materials/visual aids.But when we have already the Educational Technology it's easier to us to teach and explain to the pupils the topics to be discuss. I have 55 pupils and it's not easy to explain to them using my mouth as teacher. But through the help of this kidsmart project,it's lesser to me to talk more. pupils enjoy manipulating the computer and at the same time they want always to repeat and repeat the lesson learned. All lessons are very interesting. Like for example in making a story. They always recite it in the classroom even they were not in the computer room.Then they can make a simple story with the guide of the lessons they learned in the kidsmart computer lesson.
In my class in grade two, I apply this for ones a week,every friday.Because we have also a lessons to be follow in DepEd subjects.First, I discuss in our classroom. Then before going out, I set first rules to follow to avoid noise and pupils must behave.Divide the pupils into 5 groups.For computer center,manipulative center, art/activity center, writing center and reading center.Every group have their respective works. The group will rotate to different centers performing individually, after they finish they will go to another centers.After going to 5 centers the class will be grouped as one group again.assignment will be given by the teacher. Start and end with a prayer. Then go back to our classroom in grade two.Evaluation in the kidsmart was included in the grading period, English, Math and Science.
